📁 Create Your Content Folder

First, organize your content in Google Drive with the proper structure:

  1. Go to Google Drive and create a new folder
  2. Name it clearly (e.g., "Attack on Titan Season 1" or "Naruto Manga")
  3. Upload all your content files (videos/images) to this folder
  4. Most Important: Add a file named exactly banner.png
⚠️ Banner Requirements: Your banner.png should be a high-quality image (recommended: 1920x1080 or 16:9 aspect ratio) that represents your content.

🌐 Make Folder Public

Your folder must be publicly accessible for IndieHub to work:

  1. Right-click on your folder in Google Drive
  2. Select "Share" or "Get link"
  3. Click on "Restricted" and change it to "Anyone with the link"
  4. Make sure permission is set to "Viewer"
  5. Click "Copy link"
✅ Perfect! Your link should look like: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1ABC...
❌ Wrong format: Links like https://drive.google.com/file/d/... won't work - that's for individual files, not folders!

🧪 Test Your Link

Before uploading to IndieHub, test your link:

  1. Open an incognito/private browser window
  2. Paste your Google Drive folder link
  3. You should see your folder contents without being asked to log in
  4. Verify that banner.png is visible in the folder

🚀 Upload to IndieHub

Now you're ready to share your content:

  1. Go back to IndieHub main page
  2. Click the "📤 Upload" button
  3. Log in with Google if prompted
  4. Fill in the form:
    • Title: Clear, descriptive name
    • Content Type: Choose Anime or Manga
    • Google Drive Link: Paste your tested folder link
  5. Click "🚀 Upload"

🔧 Common Issues & Solutions

❌ "Couldn't find banner.png" error ▼

Solutions:

  • Make sure the file is named exactly banner.png (lowercase, .png extension)
  • The banner must be directly in the main folder, not in a subfolder
  • Refresh your Google Drive and try again

  • Go back to sharing settings and ensure it's set to "Anyone with the link"
